We can help you with mobility needs at home and/or travelling outside the home.
The mobility needs of an aging population is one of the most substantial challenges facing an older person. Problems associated with aging can affect a person’s ability to move around, or his or her mobility. Mobility problems may include unsteadiness while walking, difficulty getting in and out of a chair and/or bed or accidently falling. Muscle weakness, joint problems, pain, disease, and neurological difficulties can all contribute to mobility problems. LAS caregivers are trained to assist seniors with their mobility, such as using a Hoyer Lift.
Also, most seniors are car dependent. However, some older adults miss important activities due to mobility limitations associated with increasing age, poorer health, not having a licence or having a disability; LAS caregivers, with a license to drive, are happy to help with going to appointments, shopping and other excursions.
